Limits on our choices: Socialization is the lifelong social experience by which individuals  articulate their human potential and  assume culture (Macionis, 72).   Socialization is performed by several agents of socialization. These agents are family, school, peers, and   opthalmic modality media (lecture notes). From the second we are innate(p) we begin attainment from our environment. Our parents and family  give lessons us who we are    and how to  carry on as  refined children. As we grow, this task is passed to our schools and our peers. The agents of socialization  as well as shape our image of ourselves. Charles Horton Cooley developed the idea of the looking   gull self to mean a self-image based o1n how we think others  absorb us (Macionis, 77).

   Our behavior is based on our self-concept, which is  moldd  largely by how people treat us.   Socialization and behavior  travel so engrained in our personalities that it often becomes hard to deviate from what we have learned.
